AnMed Health Pediatric Associates is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to our pediatric and young adult patients. Each of our physicians is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Each of the skilled physicians on our medical staff was carefully chosen to fit our culture of excellent pediatric care for every single child.

Our services include:

Well child visits
Visits include an interval medical history, age-appropriate well child topics such as sleep routines and discipline, developmental screening (includes early developmental milestones of infants and toddlers all the way through the assessment of school and behavioral problems), physical exam, age-appropriate labs, immunizations, and vision and hearing screenings. We encourage all children to be seen on a regular schedule for well visits (visit the well child visits page for the recommended schedule). We feel with timely advice at each given age we can greatly contribute to your success in your goals for being a successful parent.

Sports and camp physicals
If your child has been seen for a well visit within the past 12 months, we can complete any camp or sports form needed for participation. If not, then an appointment will need to be made for a well child visit. Please specify when calling that the visit is for completion of a participation form. Participation in middle school and high school sports do require the same form, and the front page of the form should be completed prior to the visit. The forms are available through the school office, our office, or printable from our Forms page.

Same-day acute sick care
Our pediatricians reserve a number of appointments each day for acute sick visits. Please schedule an appointment whenever possible. A few examples of acute illness include sore throat, fever, cold, flu, cough, sprains, cuts and infections.

Phone nurse services
When you need care advice or want to know whether you should take your child to see a doctor, Pediatric Associates’ phone nurse services are available to answer your questions.

After-hours pediatric care
The nurse triage service is available when our office is closed. Staffed by specially-trained pediatric nurses, this service is available to help you determine the correct care for your child after hours.

Ideally, we would like for your first option to be your own primary care physician during standard office hours. The continuity of the care that we seek by being “primary physician” oriented in our practice, provides the best long-term results for any recurring or acute problem that your child is encountering.

However, we recognize the need for extended coverage outside of office hours in the case of emergencies. Should your child need to be seen after hours, there are a lot of options now available for after hours care in our community. We initiated the start up and endorse the use of Kids' Care at the AnMed Health North Campus (Oglesby Center Entrance A). AnMed Health Kids' Care is the ONLY after-hours facility in Anderson County staffed by board certified pediatricians. Kids' Care is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. No appointment necessary. Having your child seen within the AnMed Health system will allow us to view records and labs completed within those visits maintaining the continuity in your child’s care. Learn more about Kids' Care.

Hospital care
Our physicians make daily nursery rounds on all well newborns. We are fortunate to have a very qualified staff of inpatient pediatricians that provide 24/7 in-hospital coverage for all hospital admissions and sick newborn care.

Prenatal consultations
If you are expecting a baby, call us to schedule a complimentary appointment to meet one of our pediatricians. We recommend scheduling this visit during your second trimester.
